Cannavore Celebrates the Rise of Refined Cannabis Connoisseurs

PORTLAND, Ore.—Just this week, Cannavore launched an original video about celebrating the under-acknowledged niche of discerning cannabis connoisseurs. This video is the first of its kind and comes on the heels of marijuana legalization in Oregon, where the brand is based.

“We were inspired by the foodie culture of the Pacific Northwest,” said Cannavore head chef Anthony Vespucci. “We wanted to create an edibles company that was truly a step above in terms of its approach. Our customers care about organic cannabis, locally sourced ingredients, and upholding a sophisticated place in mainstream American society.”

Cannavore’s menu includes hand-crafted salted caramel chews, fruit hard candies, fruit gummies, and chocolate caramel kettlecorn. All confections are made with oil from TJ’s Organic Gardens’ Durban Poison cannabis, which was recently named the “Best-Tasting Bud on Earth” by HighTimes Magazine.

The refined look of Cannavore’s branding (designed by Potency) reflects the company’s commitment to a heightened consumer experience that revolves around excellence, freedom and enjoyment. This sentiment is succinctly captured in the original brand tagline, “Feed your senses.”

“We developed a brand aesthetic that’s classy yet has undertones of playfulness and adventure,” said Mauria Betts, owner and creative director at Potency. “Think boutique candy shop meets neighborhood farmer’s market.”

Cannavore was awarded Best Sweet Edible for its small-batch chocolate caramel kettlecorn at Oregon’s inaugural Dope Cup event and cannabis competition. Now that marijuana edibles are available for purchase by recreational users (not just Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) card-holders), Cannavore looks forward to serving a whole new segment of the population, including first-time and seasoned indulgers.

“I've been an edibles consumer for over 20 years and [Cannavore confections] are my all time favorite for taste and feel,” said Cannavore Facebook fan Ashley Jones.

Anyone interested in receiving an exclusive invite to a private Cannavore tasting event and social gathering should sign up for the company’s e-newsletter list at eatcannavore.com.

Marijuana Edibles Available for Recreational Customers to Purchase Starting June 2

On Thursday, June 2nd, marijuana dispensaries will be able to sell cannabis-infused edibles and extracts to recreational customers. Previously, only those with OMMP cards were able to purchase these products. The purchase limit for retail/recreational customers will be one low-dose marijuana-infused edible per day, which means an edible with no more than 15 milligrams of THC.
